Some literature is a mere 60 words while other works can fill volumes. Literature can be poetic - a brilliant prose - while other expositions are scathing political commentary. There are non-fiction histories, how-to manuals, alliterative essays, romantic fiction, historical fiction, science fiction, mysteries, dramas, and fantasies...to name a very few. Literature is not simply a commercial opportunity. If all who aspire to write must also aspire to be published, then the world will never know the bounty of talent that exists.
